Non-Surgical Treatments
Cosmetic Injections
Non-surgical are ‘walk in’ procedures – most are performed in the consultation room.
These treatments are popular with both female and male patients.
Subtle, natural results can be achieved using advanced non-surgical cosmetic treatment techniques.
Cosmetic injections are available at all of Mr David Crawford’s hospital and clinic locations. These are a very popular treatment for rejuvenating the appearance as an alternative to surgery. For patients who have had a surgical facelift, non-surgical treatments can also be used to further enhance the effect.
Botox (botulinum toxin) injections can be used to reduce facial wrinkles such as:
Precise and careful positioning of the injections means that relatively little Botox needs to be used to create a rejuvenating effect which typically lasts around 4 months.
Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, affects a great many women and men.
It is now possible to provide months of relief – dry armpits and a real confidence boost – using injections into the armpits to block the overactive sweat glands.
Facial filler treatments such as Juvederm or Restylane® are based on hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring substance which retains water within the skin, lending it a natural softness, elasticity and plumpness. However, when hyaluronic acid within the skin begins to deplete, it can leave skin lacking the youthful roundness and developing ageing hollows or creases.
Dermal fillers can be used to give volume to depressed areas of the face, smoothing out specific creases (e.g. nose to mouth lines) or filling areas where volume loss is more noticeable (e.g. cheeks). Careful use of fillers can give the face a subtle non-surgical ‘lift’ which is rejuvenating and flattering.
Results are temporary, typically lasting around 6-9 months.
Lip filler injections very simply add volume to the lip area. However, in careful positioning of the lip filler, it is possible to address imbalances between the top and bottom lip, accentuate or create an appealing shape or smooth out ageing lip lines or smokers’ lines.
There are a number of reasons for choosing to have lip filler injections. Some patients simply inherit thin lips and dislike the look of them. Others find that the ageing process is noticeable around the mouth area and want to create a more youthful smile. Lip fillers have become one of the most popular cosmetic treatments and appeal to a wide age range.
